Company Secretary - ASX


Provide governance support and act as Company Secretary for a small portfolio of varied ASX listed companies.


Your new company
This organisation is a leading provider of legal and company secretarial services to an impressive list of ASX listed companies. Its team is made up of a number of highly experienced company secretarial and legal professionals who provide a holistic approach and service to clients on corporate transactional and governance matters.

Your new role
As a Company Secretary in the team, you will be working directly with a number of Boards and senior executives of ASX listed organisations, often as Company Secretary on the record of those organisations.

Typical duties and responsibilities will include:

  • providing advice in relation to the the ASX Listing Rules (including continuous disclosure matters) and the Corporations Act;
  • attending Board and Committee meetings;
  • liaising with regulators;
  • attending to annual reporting requirements, drafting notices of meeting and managing member meetings;
  • providing general support to clients involved in corporate transactions (eg IPOs).

What you'll need to succeed
You must have previous experience as a Company Secretary (or similar capacity) with solid experience at the Board level of ASX listed entities, advising them on their obligations and duties under the ASX Listing Rules and other relevant legislation and regulations. Additional and relevant legal experience in corporate law matters as a qualified lawyer will he highly regarded but is not essential. You must be able to independently manage and prioritise a variety of matters effectively with excellent attention to detail, while also being a supportive member of a larger team of professionals.
