As a part of this friendly and co-operative operationally focused team, you will:

  • Provide technical support on storage and backup solutions
  • Support DXC Client Account Teams as required with post-sales support for storage support and services.
  • Implement detailed storage designs based on project needs
  • Review future designs for technical supportability within existing team capability
  • Provide guidance for other storage and backup support personnel.
  • Provide specialist technical support for delivery team(s).
  • Implement new and expansions of storage allocations
  • Maintain working relationships with vendors of storage and backup
  • Manage Storage Reporting Tools and Management Consoles
  • Participate on an 24x7 oncall roster on a rotational basis in addition to your standard weekday working hours

5+ years of experience in IT with a minimum of 2 years dedicated to implementing and managing multi-vendor enterprise storage technologies. Primary experience needs to be in at least one of the following, HPE 3PAR or XP7 Storage Arrays, Symantec Netbackup or EMC Data Domains and Cisco or Brocade Fabric. Certification in such technologies would position you well.

Critical competencies

Ideal candidates for Storage and Backup Specialist would have:

  • Demonstrated use of a service management toolset within the ITIL framework
  • Experience with implementing reporting and automation
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision in an organisation with a mature approach to change management
  • Demonstrated experience with delivering operational process and procedural documentation and ongoing continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables concurrently in a challenging and dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with clients
  • Experience with disaster recovery strategies
  • Demonstrated ability in solving both common and complex technical problems

This role will involve working on federal government. As such we will require Australian citizenship and mandatory eligibility to meet Security Clearance requirements.
