This well-known Melbourne head quartered utility is responsible for delivering high quality services to customers and the community in one of Australia's fastest growing regions. With over 500 employees and contractors, their diverse workforce is a mix of corporate, call centre and field based employees. They are renowned for providing excellent customer service and are striving to further enhance their performance in this area through opportunities for greater efficiency and effectiveness across the organisation. Currently undergoing this strategic change, the business is seeking an Executive Manager Strategy and Regulation to lead one of the organisation's most significant portfolios that will shape the future strategic direction of the organisation. Driving this change of direction is a new and highly regarded leadership team who are passionate about diversity and supporting true workplace flexibility.

Reporting to the Executive member responsible for strategic planning, this role will form a critical part of the senior leadership network and work closely with the Board and the executive to define business strategy and transform the organisation's strategic intent into tangible initiatives and actions through key organisational plans and regulatory submissions. Leading a team of highly qualified professionals you will build strong working relationships across the organisation and bring meaningful data, analytics and insights to aid the future direction of policy and regulation. This opportunity will see you engaging with a diverse range of external stakeholders, including with the Regulator and Government to leverage learnings, build partnerships and establish joint projects with others to improve the value for customers.

With experience working in regulated environments, you bring a passion for great customer and community outcomes and are seeking a role which is truly valued and also makes a meaningful difference to future generations. You are well regarded from your dealings with Boards and senior stakeholders in the past and consider your communication skills to be a key strength. With an appreciation for asset intensive environments, you may come from any range of industry sectors and are keen to learn new skills and industries. A familiarity of working with regulators and government to achieve outcomes would be extremely beneficial.
