Sales Consultant

As a business grown out of a popular editor service, Business Author Academy has an opportunity to meet a market need in helping business leaders to write their first book (and publish that book). We are looking for a sales agent, on a contractor basis.

Flexible days and times, and prefer in Brisbane area.

Suit someone with a knowledge of books and writing books.

Presently with editing services and mentoring for writers offer, our expanded offer includes three different packages. Focus on these two below.

The top level program includes for writer coaching and done-for-you book publishing for professional business folk and the coaching program includes writer coaching/editor support. This can be adaptable to the busy business owner. Both include access to our self-publishing academy.

The sales commission will be:

  • $500 for either of the Pro Publishing Packages, with mentoring, publishing elements, and marketing tools.
  • $330 for the Book Writing Coaching program (6 months' coaching and editorial).
  • 10% of any editing services sold, upon billing date.

As people want to meet the editor/ask further questions, you are not expected to complete the whole sale by yourself. Your role is to do early stage selling support and follow up of those interested to give more information.

Help people looking for book publishing advice and do a 30-minute appointment through your telephone calls or LinkedIn use. We will do the final stage and send them the agreement pack.

Our editing services are top notch but still affordable for the matured business owner or thought leader.

The consultant will have:

  • Sales or client service background
  • CRM (mining data for leads) experience

Additional Info

  • You would be required to do some identifying leads e.g. viewing our LinkedIn network and identifying possible prospects
  • Freebie resources & websites full of service testimonies provided.
  • We may have new leads or help with an old client list
  • You would need to be able to explain on the phone where needed.

You will have help all the way along, in fact, you will be a crucial part of our working system.

Lifestyle: Work in the afternoon/evenings. Sometimes prospects cannot talk in office hours. The average friendly person with a gift for listening could end up generating 4-6 leads a week / 2 sales.

The ideal person would be:

  • Trustworthy
  • Great ability to build a rapport and communicate authentically
  • Great at follow up (don’t rely just on emails)
  • Able to update our CRM system, Hubspot (simple)
  • Able to find the leads hidden within our data and networks
  • Have the ability to ask for the sale - ask where to send the agreement and is there anything else they need to know
  • Listen to what the prospect wants and offer only what is needed and budgeted for
  • Patient as our systems and process improves.

Contract length: 3 months

Part-time hours: 15 per week
