Trainer & Assessor - COVID Infection Control

Description:
The Role:
We currently have a 12 month fix term contract role working 4 days per week Mon – Thurs. This can be working from home or in our Mosmaan Office. The right candidate will have a genuine love for training within this area and extensive experience.

Our Digital Infection Control classes will teach workers from a variety of client-facing roles across a number of industries the essential skills to follow organisational infection prevention and control policies and procedures. This will including implementing standard and transmission-based precautions and responding to infection risks

You must be available to commit and deliver across four days. ARC Training offer good salary and ongoing work for right Trainer and Assessors.

To be considered for this role you MUST hold and be able to present:

Essential Qualifications:

  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, equivalent or higher
Units of Competency linked to various Infection Control Skill sets:

  • HLTINF001 - Comply with infection prevention and control policies and procedures
Relevant Current Experience:
It is necessary that applicants can demonstrate vocational competence in infection control and have current industry skills with experience in either Allied Health, Individual Support (Aged Care/Disability /Community services).

Selection Criteria:
  • Current working history in the sectors listed above by providing documentation
  • Minimum 1 year of training and assessment in the Vocational and education training sector
  • An engaging teaching style
  • Superior communication and collaboration skills
  • A working with children's check
  • Able to work autonomously meeting KPI’s
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems to deliver training and Student Management Systems i.e. Canvas
  • Solid computer skills/Knowledge
  • Experience using Zoom highly regarded
  • Previous experience working with a Registered Training Organisation
  • Home/Office set up if working from home
As the Contract Trainer your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting training and assessments
  • Tracking and reporting student attendance
  • Assessing and recording student competency in line with the requirements of the training package being assessed.
  • Facilitating student progression
  • Delivering the HLTINF001 Comply with Infection Prevention and Control Policies and Procedures unit of competency
  • Managing the assessment and progression of each student through their enrolled course.
