Credit Officer

Our client is seeking an experienced Credit Officer to join their Midland based team for a short term assignment the potential for extension. The ideal candidate would be ideally be able to start immediately.

The Role

Some of the key responsibilities of this role may include:

  • Assessing and processing and new client applications ensuring all documents are received and correct.
  • Assessing existing client set ups on they internal system ensuring all information is correct.
  • Setting and controlling credit limits based on external reports and your understanding of clients.
  • Responding to invoice enquiries and managing payment terms.
  • Managing stop credit and orders on hold.
  • Answering customer queries regarding disputed invoices and arranging the issuance of credit notes if necessary.
  • Liaising with internal teams.

Experience Required

  • 1-2 years' experience working within a full function credit capacity is necessary.
  • Ability to build good and effective relationships with all aspects of the business internally and externally.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Confident communicator both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work within a team.
  • Flexible approach to work and ability to manage, prioritise and work to deadlines.
