An exciting opportunity is available for an Early Childhood Teacher to join a forward thinking, Exceeding rated centre in Sydney’s Inner West. The centre is purpose built with fantastic resources and facilities, with the children’s needs at the heart of the design. The centre itself has high ceilings and lots of natural light, as well as a natural outdoor space, allowing children to fully engage with nature and their environment.

The organisation has a very child focused philosophy and offer many additional benefits to their families free of charge, including French and Music lessons. The centre is part of brilliant community and charity projects including visits local Old Age Home, initiatives to donate extra food to the homeless and Boomerang Bags; creating recycled bags and donating these to local shops.

Your new role
As the ECT Room Leader of the 4-5 age group you will be responsible for developing an engaging educational program for currently 15 children, whilst creating a supportive environment for children that stems from their interests. You will be supported by a professional and friendly team and will work with one other educator, who all take responsibility for assisting with programming, planning and observations.

You will be supported in your role by an experienced management team, who will share your philosophy of putting the needs of children and families first. You will be encouraged to bring your new ideas to the centre, whilst using your leadership skills to create a collaborative environment where other educator’s ideas are supported and heard.

What you'll need to succeed

  • ACECQA assessed Early Childhood Teacher degree
  • Preschool experience desirable
  • Excellent knowledge of the NQS and the curriculum
  • Outgoing personality and strong communication skills to build relationships with families and other educators
