Collections Officer


Immediate start for a Collections Officer to take ownership & drive recoveries within their own portfolio.

The Company
Our client is seeking an experienced Collections Officer who is ready to take the next step in their career. The organisation has been through considerable growth in the last few years, partly due to some very successful acquisitions. The business operates in the B2B space and has been continually touted as a pioneer in their industry. It is worth noting that they are backed by a global organisation with considerable resources to see them through this otherwise turbulent covid period.

The Role
As a Collections Officer you will be given a great degree of autonomy to manage your ledger as you see fit. You will take ownership of the ledger and be tasked with driving recoveries in a timely manner. The industry is moderately regulated and you will be given a basic framework from which to operate within. You will join a positive team environment that/culture has enjoyed a strong period of stability in recent years. Initially starting from home the role will transition back to CBD as restrictions ease.

Reporting to the Collections Manager you will be responsible for:
Collections
Evaluate customers' ability to pay
Negotiate payments
Handle queries
Assist in legal escalations
Regular reporting on outstanding debtors
Queries

Your Profile
You will have a strong background in Collections working in a fast paced and busy environment.
You will have a positive attitude and thrive on building relationships both internally & externally.
This role is to start immediately so you must be available at short notice.
