Coordinator Procurement


  • TRP up to $148,431 incl. super and vehicle/novated lease option

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Procurement professional (Band 8) to join one of Victoria's fastest-growing Councils with an operating budget in excess of $400m. As Procurement Coordinator you will play a vital role in negotiating, interpreting and managing contracts of significant size and complexity.

Working across the organisation you will be responsible for developing a Strategic Procurement Plan in consultation with all department managers for annual supply requirements and the 5-year Capital Works program (>$400m).

Establishing and maintaining a comprehensive contract register, contract management system and category spend register will also be an essential part of the role.

With your strong influencing and organsiational skills you will advise management on best practice procurement arrangements and will coordinate tendering and purchasing support services to the organisation.

To be successful for this role you must also be commercially astute, adept at developing and writing contract specifications and analysing tender documentation and a strong communicator.

You are also a team player and high achiever with a flair for innovative solutions. An understanding of the Local Government Act is highly desirable.
