SOLICITOR - EMPLOYMENT AND INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS


We are seeking a Solicitor (2-5 years’) to join our premier Band 1 Employment, Industrial Relations and Safety team, to be based in Brisbane.

In this role you will work closely with leading Partners across our national employment group. You will undertake a range of work that supports and advises blue chip clients across multiple sectors on all aspects of employment law and industrial relations matters.

You will take on a key role in the practice group and work closely with our talented team to provide employment law advice on workforce strategy, employment aspects of large-scale M&A and projects transactions, enterprise bargaining, industrial disputes, industrial action, payroll compliance, general protections and all types of Fair Work Commission and anti-discrimination proceedings. You will benefit from exceptional learning opportunities working in a highly ambitious and collaborative team.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • have demonstrable experience across a range of employment law and industrial relations matters from a leading top tier, national or international private practice or boutique employment firm; or an in-house environment;
  • ideally 2 – 5 years' legal experience, however we are open to considering candidates with more or less experience;
  • be a qualified/admitted legal practitioner in either Australia or New Zealand;
  • have an excellent academic record, strong communication and teamwork skills;
  • have a proactive desire to learn and develop, and maintain a market-leading practice.
