Dental assistant needed for 2 – 3 days a week.

Usually long working days, however, due to COVID19 we are constantly updating our hours. .

You will have someone help with teaching you, but the majority of what you learn will be on the job. In dentistry, there will be lots of things that you will need to learn and remember.

We expect that you will put in your own time to learn how the practice works.

We expect that you ask questions on procedures and why we do things we do.

Initially, you will be challenged.

But as you get used to everything, it will become rewarding and fulfilling.

You will be watching patients come in and be comfortable with seeing the dentist.

You will be a vital factor in the patient experience as they walk through the door, and as they leave.

You will be more involved hands-on with procedures.

You will be helping someone feel comfortable with their experience at the dentist.

Hourly Rate: $20.00 to $28.00 /hour

Duties:

  • Providing chair-side assistance (e.g. handing equipment to dentists, spraying and suction)
  • Taking records, impressions, or x-rays
  • Assisting with administrative tasks as needed (e.g. billing, maintaining patient records)
  • Routinely maintaining and sterilising equipment
  • Assisting with front office tasks as needed (e.g. reception)
