Partnerships Coordinator, APS Level 6, Questacon

About the team

Working as part of the creative and dynamic Partnerships Team at Questacon's Deakin campus, the Partnerships Coordinator will support the initiation, development, establishment and maintenance of Questacon's corporate partnerships.

What you will do As part of a small dynamic team, under broad supervision you will:
  • identify potential corporate and philanthropic partners
  • develop unique and innovative partnership proposals to demonstrate to potential partners, philanthropic organisations and The Q Australia Foundation how they can work with Questacon to meet mutual objectives
  • play a key role in the stewardship of Questacon's partner relationships and philanthropic endeavours
  • explore and implement opportunities to value-add to existing corporate partnerships and philanthropic relationships
  • develop new partnership contracts and oversee existing corporate partnerships and philanthropic relationships
  • work collaboratively with teams across Questacon to develop, enhance and deliver high quality outcomes through partnerships and philanthropic activities
  • support the National Partnerships Manager to foster strong, ongoing relationships with The Q Australia Foundation
  • coordinate stakeholder meetings
  • provide secretariat support for annual and quarterly partnership meetings
  • manage, monitor and report on the partnership budget
  • draft briefing material as required.

Eligibility To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, applicants must be Australian Citizens.
Prior to commencement, successful applicants will be required to:
  • Successfully complete a "Working with Children" Police Check; and
  • The ability to obtain or hold a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 (the WWVP Act)

Security Clearance

These positions require a Baseline security clearance. The successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.


This role may require after-hours and weekend work and will be based at Questacon's Deakin campus, The Ian Potter Foundation Technology Learning Centre.

This recruitment process is being used to fill an ongoing APS Level 6 position. A merit pool may be established to fill future ongoing and non-ongoing APS Level 6 vacancies should they become available within 12 months form the date advertised.
