Opened on 1 October and located on the corner of Sussex and Bathurst Streets, the newly built Crowne Plaza Sydney Darling Harbour is 152 modern guest rooms and suites vertically suspended in a prime position. Your day to day

We’re looking for a part-time Handyperson to join our Maintenance team. This role could be the perfect next step if you have just finished studying and are looking to start your career, or if you are wanting a change of scenery you can experience all that hospitality and hotels have to offer! You’ll need to be a self-starter and able to work collaboratively as the role involves both individual and team projects in ensuring the Hotel’s equipment and facilities operate efficiently for our guests and colleagues. A trade background will support your success – particularly electrical, carpentry, plumbing or painting.

What we need from you
  • Demonstrated experience in general building maintenance, engineering and/or construction
  • Qualifications in Trade e.g. electrician, carpenter, plumber, painter is preferred
  • Guest focused – understanding the worksite is a 24-hour customer based business
  • Strong attention to detail, communication and organisational skills
  • A high energy level and passion for achieving results, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise workload
  • Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc
