An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Research Fellow to join our Cancer Clinical Trials Centre at Austin Health in 2021.
The Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre has been established at Austin Health to provide a holistic approach to cancer treatment and care, wellness and research within a state of the art comprehensive cancer centre. The Cancer Centre is responsible for inpatient medical oncology and clinical haematology, ambulatory medical oncology and clinical haematology, palliative medicine and radiation oncology. The Cancer Clinical Trials Centre (CCTC) has over 200 trials and is a vibrant and growing unit. Incorporated within the ONJ Centre, with strong undergraduate and post graduate teaching programs.
CCTC conducts a wide variety of trials nationally and internationally and has a reputation for excellence. The CCTC manages studies from Phase 1 - Phase 3 and participates in investigator-initiated research, Collaborative Group Studies and Pharmaceutical sponsored clinical trials. The atmosphere within CCTC is energetic, friendly and cohesive with a strong teamwork ethic amongst all members and regular meetings with investigators to discuss management issues.
Applications are sought from trainees or Clinical Haematologists or Medical Oncologists for the Cancer Clinical Research Fellow position. This position is covering maternity leave and will commence in February 2021 for 12 months.
