APAC Sea Freight, ANZ In-Direct Procurement Manager

Job Description

Category Management: ANZ Logistics, Supply Chain In-directs and APAC Sea Freight

  • Provide local and regional market insights on supply-base, market/emerging trend and intelligence to drive incremental value opportunities.
  • Responsible for outstanding invoice issues, including resolution of disputes for road haul and sea freight.
  • Work with Operations and Project teams to build data set for RFPs.
  • Work with Category in preparation of all required documentation for RFP's
  • Work with Finance to summarise output of RFP process including analytics.
  • Work with Suppliers and local Operations teams to resolve service failures and implementation of corrective action which is formalised and tracked.

Contract Management

  • Lead contract development for regional suppliers and regional initiatives, in alignment with specific business needs and legal requirements
  • Provide guidance to local procurement team in their local contract development
  • Work in close collaboration with country procurement team to ensure contract implementation and compliance

Supplier Management

  • Lead supplier selection criteria being in line with defined Procurement Guideline/Strategy, support classification and categorization of suppliers, including definition of supplier evaluation and audit policies.
  • Lead supplier performance tracking and performance improvement
  • Lead SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) activities via developing (JBDP) joint business development plan on value creation.
  • Initiate and conduct supplier audits according to a defined framework.
  • Proactively identify supply risks and develop mitigation plans

Compliance and Governance

  • Adopt KC Approved MSA for all supplier engagement.
  • Implementation of global and local procurement principles and the application of standardized procurement processes and systems.
  • Ensure procurement process and practices align with K-C Compliance, and audit-proof.


  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields
  • > 6-8 years of experience in Procurement in preferably Logistics/ Sea freight for FMCG/ F&B industries
  • Experiences in Sourcing Strategy Development (Industry/supply Intelligence and Spend & Cost Analysis)
  • Intermediate or higher level of Negotiation skills
  • Supplier Relationship Management/ Stakeholder relationship management skills
  • Leadership skills and ability to independently/ interdependently
  • Good understanding of financial metrics (i.e., Working Capital, Cost Avoidance, NSV, DPO)
  • Project management experience is beneficial
  • Exposure to regional scope of work is beneficial
  • Excellent MS office skills including Excel, Words and PowerPoint
  • Procurement work process and systems (like SAP/Ariba/ Spend Analysis) knowledge and experience are beneficial
