Retention Specialist Job Details

We are currently seeking a Retention Specialist to join our Dealer and Customer Service Team. Your primary responsibility will be to identify opportunities to retain VWFS customers and providing excellence in service delivery.

About the Opportunity

This critical role is instrumental in the delivery of sales outcomes through customer retention and liaising with key internal stakeholders to drive outcomes for our most critical stakeholder - our customer. The key areas of responsibility include:

  • Successfully providing finance quotes to existing or new customers, whilst building and maintaining effective relationships
  • Providing and compiling monthly reporting that assists in the control of customers and prospect databases and sales pipelines
  • Providing support to the Sales and Operations Teams in the areas of customer retention, dealership liaison and customer service
  • Capture and engage all maturing contracts from VWFS portfolio
  • Follow up and 'sell' the refinance message to our customers
  • Actively refer genuine leads to our VWFS Network and ensure accountability for positive outcomes
  • In consultation with team members, develop and review procedures to enhance service delivery
  • Assist with referrals from dealers and dealer liaison

The Successful Applicant

It is our goal to attract and retain talented individuals who are both customer and commercially focused. In addition, you will have:

  • Relevant qualifications in financial services, business, sales, customer service or related discipline
  • 2+ years' experience in the provision of sales and/or customer service preferably in telephone sales or a call centre environment
  • Automotive or Finance experience is preferable
  • Ability to deliver customer focused solutions in a fast paced team environment
  • Application of negotiation skills and tools
  • Intermediate level of proficiency required with Microsoft suite of products especially excel
  • An ability to develop and sustain positive & cooperative working relationships at all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisation and process administration skills
