Customer Service Representative


AXIMA is a fully integrated supply chain management company providing our clients with a variety of services including freight forwarding, customs brokerage, 3PL warehousing and distribution. We are looking for a bright, motivated and confident personality to join our Sydney Warehouse team to deliver supply chain success to our clients. You will be client and customer service orientated with strong freight forwarding experience, always striving to deliver on clients' needs and expectations. And at the same time, you are a highly organized and flexible person, and not afraid of taking full ownership of the warehouse administrations.

What the role is about:

Reporting to the Client Operations Manager, you will be responsible to the general Customer Service function by taking calls, emails, and general customer service queries. You are also responsible to develop a proactive relationship with any allocated Customer Accounts, and to ensure our AXIMA clients receive caring and customised service. At the same time, you will be the in charge of the warehouse administration.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm at our Smithfield offices (with easy access to parking), which works for your lifestyle.

What you'll be doing:

  • Taking customer service calls and processing email or web correspondence in line with agreed internal or Customer Service Level Agreements / Expectations.
  • Delivering exceptional client service to AXIMA clients - responding, following up, and providing solutions on daily customer requests, plus processing all the incoming orders in a professional and timely manner.
  • Working closely and collaboratively with the team locally and within AXIMA and Yang Kee to provide value and ensure service delivery to our clients.
  • Co-ordinating work/enquiries for Sydney clients.
  • Assisting with invoicing by checking invoice data and entry of VAS charges, data entry and reporting.
  • Ordering of warehouse consumables in conjunction with Warehouse Manager.
  • Any other administrative duties or tasks that are requested from time to time.

What we're looking for:

  • Prior experience in a customer service and happy to work in logistics environment
  • Strong communicator (verbal and written) and active listener
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure, with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem solving and resolution skills
  • Excellent administrative skills, time management and attention to detail
  • Computer literate with MS Office packages
  • Good numerical skills and analytical ability
  • A great attitude, being flexible and desire to learn, grow and be part of our team
