Description Data Migration Lead
We are seeking a Data Migration Lead who will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of a data migration strategy and data migration activities for a multi-year business transformation project relating to lending securities management.

This is a leadership role where you will work with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a technology solution with a large data migration component and multiple systems integrations. There will be significant stakeholder management at senior levels across business, technology, data and risk. You will lead the data migration plan, analysis, design, and build effort with the team, and this will include the following responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of design, development and testing of all data extract, transform and load (ETL) activities
  • Prepare data migration plans including migration risk, milestones, quality and business sign-off details.
  • Manage assigned risks and monitor potential impacts as part of the data migration plan.
  • Identify, define, collate, document and communicate the data migration requirements
  • Ensure that all ongoing data transformation, de-duplication, extraction and load functions once ready for production deployment are documented in detailed data lineage models
  • Work with data owners to verify and obtain approval that any transformed data retains its quality/accuracy
  • Own the reject and exception handling processes associated with ETL tools
  • Work closely with the team to quantify ETL processing impact and assist in performance tuning
  • Develop best practice, processes, and standards for effectively carrying out data migration activities.

What will be in your toolkit?
  • Seasoned Program Manager that is experienced in in successfully implementing large enterprise-level data migration programs
  • Previous experience delivering a large scale core banking data migration will be highly regarded
  • Experience /Knowledge of systems such as collateral management and Hogan platforms will be highly regarded
  • Advanced understanding of data management, assets, systems, processes and governance
  • Substantial experience working with databases including Oracle
  • Experience with different ETL tools capable of data cleansing and de-duplication
  • Experience with LTO & PPSR data formats is desirable
  • Knowledge/Experience of migrating data from Hogan system is desirable
  • Experience in effectively engaging internal (senior management) and external stakeholders, including vendors and industry partners
This is 12-month fixed term contract.
