Avivo provide support to people with frailty, disability or mental illness to live in their own home. Our Support Workers work alongside people, from all walks of life, giving them a helping hand to live their life.

We are looking for confident, flexible, enthusiastic and high skilled Support Workers to join our specialist high care team supporting customers in Baldivis area.

The role will work across disability and mental illness sectors. Engaging in a range of care needs to assist our customers remain living within their home.

There's no 'typical day' but it may include...

  • Domestic and household assistance
  • Personal care including dressing, showering, and personal hygiene
  • Clinical care - bowel and catheter care
  • Complex manual tasks such as hoisting (training provided)
  • Social support including assistance with community access and attending appointment
  • Providing reliable, timely and flexible services that best meet the needs of the individual and their family
  • Problem solving issues with the person and/or their family, and the team
  • Regular communication with local team and participation in team meetings

You'll need:

  • Previous support work experience in Mental Health and Disability is desirable
  • Demonstrated reliability, flexibility and a positive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and listening
  • Ability to problem solve, think creatively and find innovative solutions
  • Competency with use of a Smart Phone and Apps
  • A Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain one if required (the successful candidate can obtain through Avivo)
  • Availability to attend mandatory and paid training during the week
  • A valid driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle
  • Flexible availability to work a range of shifts from Monday to Friday, overnights and occasional weekends

Candidates must be living in the or around Baldivis area.
