Leisure & Lifestyle Officer

About the role The Leisure and Lifestyle Officer’s role is to ensure the design, development and implementation of special programs to meet the needs of residents within in the Cessnock facility, giving them quality of life and enjoyment whilst in care. The Leisure and Lifestyle Officer will conduct programs in a manner that recognises the autonomy and independence of each resident creating a fun an relaxing environment. We currently have a part time permanent contract on offer at Muswellbrook Retirement Community. Working Monday to Friday, 55hrs per fortnight. What you bring

  • Leisure & Lifestyle Certificate Level IV or other relevant qualification
  • Current influenza immunisation
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Experience in the planning, implementation and evaluation of activities for frail people with cognitive impairment and disabilities
  • Ability to document assessments, care plans and progress notes
  • Sensitivity to and understanding of the needs and interests of residents
  • Strong communication skills
  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence
