About the Role
The role of the Operational Commissioning Lead will be to lead the change, transition and operational commissioning for designated clinical and support services to ensure a smooth and safe transition to new / refurbished services at Logan Hospital. The role is part of an Operational Commissioning team and will work very closely with the relevant project team and hospital services to ensure their preparedness for the new facilities.

  • Lead and participate in flexible team structures that comprise staff from across the Logan Hospital Expansion Program, Metro South Health and Logan Hospital to achieve specified project outcomes that reflect project goals and objectives.
  • Establish and maintain mutually productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to advance project outcomes.
  • Lead the development of clinical and support service models, planning activities and models of care / service delivery for the Logan Hospital to ensure the provision of quality, cost effective patient care, utilising the principles of patient safety, risk management and quality improvement.
  • In collaboration with stakeholders develop, implement and evaluate frameworks and processes to ensure that models of care and clinical and non-clinical practices are evidenced based, reviewed as required, and approved reforms are implemented in line with corporate and government policies and directions.
The Logan Hospital Expansion will enhance our clinical services and improve facilities for the Logan community in one of the fastest growing regions in the state.
It will increase healthcare services available in Logan, which means the local community can be treated nearer to their home.
