Based in Dandenong South, our client is a fast growing Victorian based company, providing powerline construction & electrical infrastructure services to the electrical distribution industry throughout Australia.

Due to the success of the business, they are now looking for experienced full time Lineworkers (LV, G&B, Leading Hands) to join the team. The lineworker position is responsible for completing and/or assisting with electrical distribution maintenance and construction tasks to ensure the safe, timely and cost effective completion of work in accordance with busines and their clients' policies and procedures. Your attitude, motivation, enthusiasm, efficiency and initiative are of particular importance.

Reporting to the Supervisor, the successful candidate will enjoy working with a friendly, easy going team in a fun, fast-paced environment. This role is for an immediate start.

Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties and responsibilities will include:-

Provision of the skills required for the construction and maintenance of a variety of electrical distribution assets.

Responsible for performing tasks to meet safety, quality, time and budget targets.

Ensure compliance to relevant rules, regulations, statutory requirements, standards and procedures and safe working practices and demonstrate a personal commitment to the business and clients requirements to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.

Review the construction standards to ensure compliance with customer specifications.

Maintain plant and equipment in a safe manner to ensure all daily activities are conducted as planned.

Communicate, liaise and negotiate with customers and employees to achieve customer service standards. Ensure satisfactory customer relations are maintained.

Conduct safety audits in accordance with the Safety Audit Schedule when requested.

Coach employees in a positive manner to ensure ongoing development of their skills.

Gathering and recording of accurate data associated with work activities.

Identifying and implementing risk control measures to assigned work tasks to provide a safe work environment.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of the business and clients Safety Management Systems and undertake all work in accordance with the companys and clients Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Skills and Experience

Required:

Certificate 3 in ESI Distribution

Relevant required industry certificates, licences and authorities including rigging exemption

Heavy Rigid or Medium Rigid drivers licence

The ideal candidate will possess

Glove and Barrier Qualifications

Be an excellent communicator at all levels, both written and verbal

Have proven organisational and problem solving skills

Have great time management skills

Have a great work ethic and attitude
