Bar/Wait Staff


The Shorehouse is seeking experienced wait staff for the lead up to our busy summer period! Proudly perched overlooking Swanbourne Beach, The Shorehouse offers a modern Australian menu, with a mouth-watering combination of Mediterranean influenced food and seasonal produce.

Open for breakfast, lunch & dinner seven days a week, this is a 150 capacity venue & applicants MUST have similar experience within a fast paced or similar scale restaurant environment.

Wait Staff

You will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest service, from the moment a guest walks in, to the moment they leave the venue, including greeting and seating guests, taking orders and delivering food and drinks.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 12 months demonstrated experience in floor roles
  • Possess a passion for wine - our wine team will provide you with the opportunity to expand your wine knowledge
  • A professional & outgoing demeanour and a "can do" positive attitude
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Strong guest focus and exceptional service skills
  • Adaptable and able to work in a highly energetic environment
  • Must possess a Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate

Bartenders

You will be responsible for preparing our high quality beverage products for our customers. Must work closely with the team to ensure seamless and quality service as well as assisting other team members when required and necessary.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 12 months experience working in a bar environment
  • Intermediate knowledge of cocktail making
  • Experience in operating coffee machines & coffee making
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Immaculate presentation and grooming
  • Must possess a Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate

Applicants must be able and willing to work weekends, public holidays and nights. Commitment over the busy summer season is essential. Casual positions available with plenty of hours to fill!

Part-time hours: 15-35 per week

Salary: $20.00 – $40.00 per hour
