The Opportunity

Reporting to the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager, you will be focussed on providing pragmatic high-level Health, Safety & Wellbeing support. You will also be exposed to a broad range of tasks to help drive and support the Health, Safety & Wellbeing team to support, protect and improve the health and wellbeing of our people.

With a positive, fun, and experienced team to support you, this is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with previous Health, Safety & Wellbeing experience who is looking to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who puts 110% into everything they do, has a keen eye for detail and has a true passion for all things people.

The Role

This is a varied role providing support to the team but with the opportunity to be exposed to many different aspects of Health, Safety and Wellbeing. It will suit an induvial who is looking to develop and can bring a positive

This opportunity is full time for a 3-year maximum term contract initially, to start Monday 11th January 2021.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a first point of contact for health and safety queries;
  • Providing administration support to the H, S & W team;
  • Preparing reports and providing statistical information to management;
  • Undertaking health and safety audits, worksite inspections and investigations and ensuring the appropriate risk identification, assessment and control measures are in place;
  • Providing ergonomic workstation assessments and appropriate assistive equipment; and
  • Working with the larger People & Culture team to establish initiatives that support a positive and engaged work culture.

About You

We are seeking a proactive individual who can bring a lot of energy into the role. The successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • At least 12 months of Health & Safety experience;
  • Ability to multitask, juggle priorities and meet deadlines with a customer-focused approach;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate to a variety of stakeholders;
  • Demonstrated organisational skills & attention to detail;
  • Flexible and willing to take on new responsibilities;
  • Possession of, or progress towards a qualification in health and safety, or a related field or Certificate IV in Health and Safety.
