About the Opportunity

This role is responsible for providing administrative support to the TAL Life Underwriting and Tele Service teams

Key responsibilities include:

  • Builds positive working relationships

  • Communicates positively with customers and colleagues using active and attentive listening techniques

  • Responds to customer problems and complaints, escalating where required

  • Actions mail items received for TAL Life Underwriting

  • Entering and updating client details

  • Provides accurate, valid and complete information to customers and colleagues

  • Follow up third party medical and blood test requests

About You

We’re looking for talented individuals with the skills, knowledge & passion who want to join in our mission of ‘being by your side for life’ to positively impact Australians.

You may come from a similar role in the banking & finance industry, insurance or previously working with financial planners. You may have recently graduated from university and looking for a professional environment to launch your career.

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and traits:

  • Experience in similar role, within Financial Services/ Insurance Industry highly desirable

  • Excellent office administration experience and good data entry skills

  • Knowledge of MS Office suite (inc. PPS and excel), and good analytical skills and methodologies

  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of relevant policies, procedures and systems

  • Offers solutions to problems and supports change; looks for ways to improve own effectiveness and productivity

  • Organises priorities to complete work within given time-frames

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in your work, with a quality focus
