Position Summary Staff Specialist Anaesthetist 2020 Latrobe Regional Hospital Are you looking for a new challenge within regional Victoria? We have a unique opportunity for a Specialist Anaesthetist to work at Latrobe Regional Hospital, Traralgon. An interest in Acute / Chronic Pain would be desirable but not essential. For the right candidate, we offer very attractive support arrangements and a range of options within the package. Expressions of interest are encouraged from applicants interested in a salaried appointment. The successful applicant will also be required to participate in the on-call roster. Candidates must be eligible for Fellowship with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Applications up to full time are encouraged. Suitably qualified applicants may be considered for an academic co-appointment to Monash University's Gippsland Medical School. The academic appointee would undertake some teaching and/or research. The Anaesthetic Department provides a Preadmission Clinic, Acute Pain Service and access to wide range of anaesthetic experience. Compared to a Metropolitan appointment you will have greater autonomy and responsibilities but with support when required, will strong workplace relationships and mentorship for your professional development Latrobe Regional Hospital (LRH) is the major provider of specialist health services in the Gippsland region, east of Melbourne. Our comprehensive range of services extends to emergency and intensive care, elective surgery, allied health, obstetrics, medical and radiation oncology at the Gippsland Cancer Care Centre, dialysis and aged care. Selection Criteria Essential: MBBS or equivalent essential
Essential: Must be a Fellow of ANZCA
Essential: Specialist Registration with the Medical Board of Australia
Essential: Demonstrated clinical ability commensurate with that expected of an Anaesthetist.
Essential: Experience working at a senior level in a major hospital
Essential: Adherence to safe practice standards and policies
