Red Cross Night Cafe exists to provide basic needs (food, clothing, social connectedness), a safe and open space where young people can access formal and informal community-based support and develop meaningful social networks.
The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the Youth Workers in the recruitment of new volunteers for the space, submitting volunteer advertisements, conducting interviews for potential volunteers, and coordinating volunteer inductions. You will also be required to help co-ordinate volunteers and rostering, and assist with team meetings and volunteer engagement. General administration tasks may also be required in this role.
As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will be able to connect, learn, listen and teach community members, experiencing social isolation and vulnerability. Red Cross will ensure you have training, ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the World’s largest humanitarian network.
