About the opportunity:

Seeking a motivated and experienced General Cardiologist to join our friendly and professional team.

You will be providing contemporary comprehensive cardiology specialist services for optimal patient outcomes by providing support and training to other clinicians in a dynamic multidisciplinary team. Your aim will be to achieve high quality education and safe clinical practice to patients and clients in our local community.

With a focus on innovative models of care, Orange Health Service is the largest rural hospital in New South Wales and the regional teaching, referral and trauma centre for the Central West. Newly developed in 2011 on the grounds of Bloomfield Campus, the 520 bed state of the art facility has a 200 bed general hospital, with five operating suites and 60 specialised treatment areas.

  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident, or eligible for sponsorship as a Permanent Resident.
  • Registration (or eligible for registration) with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians with the specialty of Cardiology.
  • Demonstrated participation in, and commitment to quality assurance activities relevant to Cardiology practice.
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership roles.
  • Commitment to equitable participation in a subspecialty on-call roster with other consultant Cardiologists.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in the performance and reporting of transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiograms, with support of an on call echocardiography service at Orange Health Service.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in cardiac implanted electronic device interrogation and management.
