Specialist Claims Relationship Workers’ Compensation Claims

The Role

We have an exciting 12 month fixed term contract opportunity for a Claims Relationship Specialist based in WA. The purpose of the role and your unique contribution is to collaborate on a regional level with our internal and external stakeholders, to differentiate our offering through the quality of our partnerships and to drive the objectives of our Business Plan. You will be an advocate for key external customers and our Underwriting teams to facilitate resolutions where Claims disputes are damaging key relationships.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an active market presence in your designated market, to promote the Workers Compensation Claims business; support the Underwriting teams in your region and positively influence outcomes aligned to our Business Plan.
  • Travel interstate regularly to support our Underwritten States / Territories claim teams.
  • Strengthen key business relationships by facilitating responses on claim disputes; bring experience to difficult matters and help the business to make good decisions quickly.
  • Ameliorate the effects of our internal complexity by connecting key customers and intermediaries with our claims decision-makers when they are not sure who to contact.
  • Understand the needs of our most valuable partners and present tangible insights for the benefit of the business; support and advocate for tailored service solutions where required.
  • Identify opportunities and solutions; assist with the implementation of change in the business.

Skills & Experience


  • Workers Compensation claims management processes and legislation, particularly complaints handling and dispute resolution
  • Partner Relationship Management
  • Proactively promote our Claims Proposition and our operational status within the market
  • Give broker certainty to minimise surprises and adverse reaction
