Here at Hotel Grand Chancellor Hobart, we are one of Tasmania’s largest and most successful hotels. We have 244 guest rooms and 11 function spaces to host events up to 1,100 people! And if that’s not enough to entice you, we also have a pool, gym and sauna, and the Atrium Bar and Restaurant Tasman. Each day is different at our hotel and we love working in such a dynamic and exciting environment!
As a porter, you’re the face of the hotel, as you greet and welcome all our guests and visitors. You’ll be the guests ‘go to’ person throughout their stay with us, whether it’s assisting them with their luggage, providing advice on what to do while they are in Hobart, or valet parking their car, you will have the opportunity to make their stay one to remember!
So what do you need to be successful in this position? Well, you’ll need to be naturally friendly, welcoming and confident, great with communication and able to quickly build rapport with people.
We will help you succeed in this role by providing full training and knowledge of the Front Office area. You will also be joining a team of likeminded people who love what they do and will support, assist and encourage you on your new journey.
