About the Role
  • Drive automation of reporting and utilisation of data visualisation tools

  • Advanced user: Power BI, Excel & PowerPoint

  • Permanent opportunity based in Melbourne or Sydney

The Enterprise Services Reporting, Data & Analytics team provides reporting and insights to support a broad range of stakeholders across Enterprise Services and AGL. There are three focus areas to the team:

  • Master data - Are custodians of vendor and material master data creation and maintenance

  • Performance reporting - Provide a centre-led service to the broader Enterprise Services team and business through the development of key performance metrics, reporting solutions and facilitation of high-quality reporting on activities

  • Third party commercial insights - Provide analytical and decision support to Enterprise Services and the business on third party commercial issues affecting the business. These include strategic initiatives, projects and identification of value opportunities

The Performance Reporting Analyst is principally responsible for the following:

  • Performing analysis of AGL’s Enterprise Services’ teams and providing meaningful insights into performance metrics and KPIs, contributing to the achievement of Enterprise Services goals

  • Automate reporting to enable accessibility, timely and accurate insights to drive decision making

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing and maintaining reports utilising data visualisation tools (Power BI)

  • Promoting self-service functionality and providing feedback to enhancement of SAP tools

  • Assisting in the preparation of the monthly Enterprise Services reports & monthly variance analysis on performance metrics including savings targets, compliance, Accounts Payable and Purchasing metrics, work on a range of ad hoc reporting and initiatives as required

  • Ensuring governance is achieved by reporting and monitoring adherence to Enterprise Services policies and standards

  • Coordinating and consolidating PT3 benefits reporting & social license reporting

  • Ownership of tools, dashboards and techniques to improve performance management and spend visibility

  • Business partnering with key stakeholders and teams across the Procure-to-Pay value chain and Enterprise Services to build out meaningful insights based on metrics reported

  • Training staff on dashboards and reporting tools

  • Assisting Manager Reporting, Data & Analytics as required

About You

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Demonstrated previous experience in a similar Performance Analyst / BI Analyst role in a complex corporate environment, synthesising and presenting insights to stakeholders

  • Experience working/reporting in a shared service, procure-to-pay environment preferred

  • Advanced Power BI, Excel & PowerPoint skills essential, with previous exposure to SAP S4

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong business acumen

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to interact with and maintain effective relationships across diverse stakeholder groups

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills with strong attention to detail
