As a strategic priority, Swinburne University of Technology is investing in recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Associate to carry out research and development (R&D) tasks in a key project focused around Intelligent Agents and Autonomic Computing for Resilient Cyber Operations. This project is in collaboration with both Data61 and Defence Science and Technology (DSTG). In this role, you make a significant contribution towards the development of AI technology solutions in distributed autonomic computing for autonomous cyber defence.

You will have the opportunity to work under the direction of distinguished Chief Investigators, Professor Ryszard Kowalczyk and Associate Professor Bao Vo on this project which fall directly within the University’s major areas of research focus – artificial intelligence, multi-agent technology and distributed systems.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Earned Doctoral Qualification (or nearing completion) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligences, Software Engineering or another relevant field
  • Emerging track record of research and development, evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences
  • Expertise in intelligent agents, multi-agent technology, autonomic computing and/or distributed constraint optimisation problems
  • Proven experience in artificial intelligence and resilient systems
